With your help, Camille studied peace-building in Kosovo

The Kosovo International Summer Academy (KSA) is an academic summer program with a specific focus on peace-building in post-conflict countries.

"The program in Kosovo has finished and I am now back in London. This has been an absolutely incredible and insightful experience, which thanks to you all I was able to attend. Brunel financial support granted me support to cover the program cost and the flight to Kosovo.

This was undeniably the best support I had for the whole trip as unfortunately I experienced several unforeseen misfortunes during my trip that ended up being extremely expensive. Without the support of Brunel financial support, my bank account would have been non-existent or rather deep in the negatives. So, I am very grateful!"

Rosemary studied water treatment & flood analysis with the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship

Brunel University London proudly supports the Commonwealth Shared Scholarship programme. The Commonwealth Shared scholarship is for candidates from least developed, low, and lower middle income Commonwealth countries, for full time Master's study on selected courses. 2 scholarships will be awarded at Brunel University London to either MSc Water Engineering and/or MSc Public Health & Health Promotion.

"My studies were fully funded by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission (CSC) shared with Brunel University. Without this scholarship, I would not be able to take my postgraduate studies in the UK. I pursued a Water Engineering course because of the interest I have in the water sector especially in water treatment and flood analysis. It is something most communities in my home country, Tanzania is facing challenges on; many issues in the water sector are yet to be addressed. The course content of the programme at Brunel was everything I was looking for, and it is what caught my attention as I was applying for the commonwealth scholarship.

As an international student, I had a great experience in Brunel from campus accommodation, medical assistance as well as help whenever I faced challenges. Out of many things I enjoyed, my stay in the campus halls topped it all, the halls were very comfortable to stay in and was able to get assistance whenever something was not right.

Having finalized my degree, I am now back in my country. I was able to secure my former employment soon to be an assistant lecturer at my local university. I am now looking forward to pursuing my PhD in the water sector so as I can be in a more comfortable position to teach, perform research and consultancy works in the water sector."
